somehow i have lived in new york for 2 1/2 years and never been to kim’s video? like, what is wrong with me! so we went yesterday and loaded up. i found this franco box set, of 15 films, and not even the most well-known ones, for $40. it’s region 2, but we’re buying a dvd player today to dedicate to imports. FORTY DOLLARS. amazing.

birthday weekend is going swimmingly, friday night we had an accidental fancy dinner that was bananas-level good; i had a watercress-endive salad with pomegranate and pistachios and mac & cheese, and darren had filet mignon with asparagus and blue cheese mashed potatoes (omg). plus chocolate torte!
