i should not have liked this movie nearly as much as i did; it’s a white guy complaining about his white guy problems for 2 1/2 hours. but i did like it, because mcelwee is so candid and engaging, and he’s just trying to figure himself out through the women he falls in love with (but not in a twee way, in a way i can relate to). plus, he falls for smart, tough, kooky women, and i like that a lot.
